Who runs this zine?
We’re a group of six moderators who really love Promare! Main info can be found here.
Does the art or writing in this zine have to be specifically made for it or can it be something that we made a while ago that’s already posted on a site?
Yes, it has to be exclusive. The piece must be exclusively for the zine, you’ll be given a specific date in which you can post a teaser and then later on the full piece. After the zine is shipped you may post and commercialize it however you want, but until then we require it’s kept a surprise!
Do the art or writing examples need to be of Promare/Lio & Galo?
Samples are not required to be Promare related
In the artist application, it asks for a link to our portfolio. Can we link separate accounts?
If you feel like you need to link more than one site for your art please let us know, otherwise the one you provide in the application should be sufficient enough!
Is there going to be written fanworks in the zine?
Yes that is the plan!
How many contributors are you accepting?
Our plan is to accept 40 Artist Contributors and 10 Writing contributors. With an additional 10 being reserved for guest contributors and potential mod pieces.
Will this zine be Safe for work or include explicit pieces?
Cauterize, is a Safe for Work Zine, so all contributions must be safe for work. If you are interested in learning more about our NSFW companion Zine Incernerate, please find out more info here.
Is this zine for profit or for charity?
This zine will be for profit. The remaining profit (after production and shipping expenses) will be equally split with all contributors. Do keep in mind, that there may be the possibility that there may or may not be much profit depending on how well the project does.
Is there a estimate on how much it will be worth to know how much to save before it’s open to purchase?
The physical zine will mostly likely go from around $25 + shipping. The lowest price being just the PDF and the highest price being the physical zine + every single piece of merchandise. We will update you as we finalize our costs with our distributors!
